Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud says that Mesut Ozil's arrival at the club has made everything easier for the Gunners.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a terrific start to the season, scoring in each of the Gunners' four league games so far. The latest, at Sunderland on Saturday, was created by Ozil on his debut, prompting Giroud to praise the simplicity of his new teammate's approach.

"Everything is easier with this player," Giroud told the club's official website. "He always plays in the right way, nothing else. He has a fantastic, lovely first touch, so it is really easy to find each other, especially for the third goal.

"We were really happy to win after a good first half. We missed a lot of chances to score and should have had two or three goals more. Their keeper did well.

"I feel really good on the pitch in my relationships, especially with our new player, Mesut. There are a lot of good feelings."

The Gunners are sweating on Giroud's fitness ahead of their opening Champions League group match against Marseille. Ozil, meanwhile, is expected to make the trip and start his first European game for Wenger's side.
