Gospel MEGA Award is set to take off

All is now set for the 2013 edition of  the Music & Entertainment Gospel Awards – MEGA — holding at The Haven Event Centre, GRA Ikeja, Lagos today MEGA's founder, Femi Akintunde Johnson (FAJ), says he and other people behind it are excited to introduce the award primed to recognise and celebrate outstanding performances and exemplary talents in the Nigerian gospel music community.
He notes, "It is executive-produced by Footprints Ventures, and has since been endorsed by the Evang. Timi Orokoya Telemi-led Gospel Musicians' Association of Nigeria, and several other critical sections of Nigerian entertainment.
Among other artistes expected to perform, the event will feature Sammie Okposo, Buchi, Sola Allyson "leading a 20-star cast of super singers and entertainers. The biggest stand-up comic in Nigeria will lead the seven-man tour of Anchors; while comedy will be mastered by three young maestros guaranteed to crack the strongest ribs. Respected Nollywood figures, mainstream music, celebrities, senior government officials and the business community will rub shoulders with top pastors, music ministers, media executives, gospel music lovers, among others," FAJ adds.
