"Family prepping time! #pecanpie #thanksgiving nickcannon," the singer captioned the snapshot, posted very early in the morning on Thursday, Nov. 28. In the photo, Carey and husband Nick Cannon, 33, sit with their 2-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe at a kitchen table overlooking the New York City skyline.
The parents held their children, wearing cute pajamas, on their laps and posed with a bowl of pecans while baking a pie together. Little Moroccan and Monroe got an early Thanksgiving treat and were enjoying lollipops.
Later on Thanksgiving Day, Cannon tweeted, "How do I explain to my kids that the first Thanksgiving was really just a meal before the Europeans jacked the Natives for their land?" He added, "We didn't land on Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Rock landed on us . . . Now pass me the pecan pie!"
